FAILURE OF U.S. GOVERNMENT’S WAR ON DRUGS IS CREATING NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRIVATE SECTOR TO DEVELOP NEW STRATEGIES IN DRUG-PREVENTION FIELD

The well-documented failure of the United States’ War on Drugs and other anti-drug efforts around the globe demonstrates the need for a different approach to tackling substance abuse. As a result, a new private-sector drug-prevention field has emerged, delivering significantly better results and presenting huge opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Aside from arms, illegal narcotics are the world’s most heavily traded commodity, and the U.S., where drug use is more common than any other country, is the world’s largest market. Statistics paint a grim picture of the situation and highlight the inability of current efforts to stem the tide of substance abuse and its tragic consequences.  In 2007, the U.S. spent close to $500 billion on substance abuse and addiction-related issues. However, only two percent of those funds went to prevention and treatment; a staggering paradox, as studies indicate every dollar invested in research-based substance abuse/prevention programs can save up to $7 in areas such as treatment and criminal justice. Meanwhile, 40-million Americans continue to suffer debilitating illnesses as a result of tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drug use.

The most tragic consequence of substance abuse is its effect on children. Substance abuse resides in the homes of more than a quarter of all children, putting them at heightened risk for physical, mental, and social problems, as well as making them more likely to become substance abusers. The end result? In the U.S., drug related deaths are only second to automobile accidents.

The International Drug Awareness Research Foundation (IDARF) is the first private-sector organization confronting substance abuse head on, producing superior results to government and nonprofit efforts. Research shows the younger a person when first using drugs and alcohol, the more likely that person is to become substance abusers as adults. As such, IDARF emphasizes prevention through education, especially among children as young as 7, through programs and products designed to reduce the damage substance abuse inflicts on society.

IDARF has created an innovative teaching and self-learning tool for schools, health centers, businesses, and families to drive home its prevention mantra. With help from university medical researchers and government substance-abuse experts, “The Self-Destructive Use of Drugs” awareness poster provides factual information on 12 different drug groups in a color-coded representation of the internal human system. The poster, which can be translated into any language, depicts how each drug group interacts with and adversely affects the mind and body. This internationally recognized educational tool, in circulation in over 100 countries, has garnered widespread public endorsements and acclaim around the world from politicians, community workers, educators, corporations, parents, including American, Canadian and foreign government agencies. Experts from around the world have praised the poster for helping “spark the talk” about drugs between parents, teachers and teenagers in plain language using plain medical facts.

This easy-to-understand, scientifically based poster quickly and positively transforms children’s and adult’s attitudes towards substance abuse.

To increase the reach of IDARF’s awareness poster, the organization is offering wholesale license distributorships to entrepreneurs around the world.  This home-based, full or part-time opportunity provides unlimited earning potential in a multi-million-dollar market. No special skills or experience is required, and as a wholesale distributor, there’s absolutely no selling involved. IDARF provides entrepreneurs exclusive territories, ongoing support, and special incentive rewards programs. Moreover, there’s great worldwide demand for the product and no competition.
